Production Readiness Checklist

Up-to-date documents and well-defined processes ensure smooth service operation. This checklist helps you build a robust PrivX system and speed up problem resolving. You may go through these topics before going production and keep the collected information at hand. Some of the information is also very helpful in reporting and resolving incident tickets with SSH.COM support team.

  • Is PrivX system architecture documented and there is a process to keep it up to date?
  • Is there a PrivX system maintenance and upgrade guide?
  • Are there any lower environments, other than production, for use case experiments, upgrade test etc.?
  • Are major PrivX use case tested and are they incorporated to PrivX upgrade process?
  • Are systems integrated with PrivX tested and documented? Is there is a list contacts who are responsible for those systems?
  • Is there a disaster recovery plan and there is a process to test plan on regular basis?
  • Is there a process to monitor PrivX running status and performance, and alerts will be sent when abnormality is detected?
  • Are PrivX audit trail storage space requirements reviewed?
  • Is there is process for PrivX database backup and rollback?
  • Is data retention configured in PrivX inline with your corporate policy?
  • Have PrivX backups been enabled and are being stored to secure media?
  • Is there a process to follow-up and renew SSL certificates deployed in PrivX system?
  • Is there a service manager accountable for PrivX service quality?
  • Are there instructions for your end-users and a process to onboard new users?
  • Do your end-users know whom to turn to for help?
  • Is there a process to train internal support team for resolving common problems?
